About Me

I am a Data Scientist at Kotak Mahindra Bank, specializing in leveraging machine learning and neural networks for recommendation to drive innovation within the banking sector. I completed my PhD (IR and NLP) at the University of Glasgow (Glasgow Information Retrieval Group) under the supervision of Professor Iadh Ounis and Dr. Graham McDonald. My PhD research is focused on augmenting information retrieval and natural language processing methods to identify hidden connections and patterns between documents in large collections to assist with tasks such as human sensitivity review, text classification, information threading and document recommendation.
In addition, I have over 11 years of professional experience in Data Engineering and Full-Stack Development, having led and contributed to various projects across Finance and Healthcare domains.
